Prioritizing low carbon mobility services for improving accessibility of citizens

August 2019 - July 2023

The main vision of PriMaaS is to promote the integration of traditional collective transport modes with personal and innovative ones by creating equitable mobility services truly focused on citizens' needs. Regional and national policy instruments should be adapted to promote a fully integrated intermodal approach between all transport services, namely by using data provided and gathered in real time about both travel demand and travel supply. At the same time, multiscale policy instruments should ensure that the more comfortable and affordable travel options for any individual to get from A to B has also minimum carbon levels.
PriMaaS aims at increasing inter-organizational collaboration and building trust among key stakeholders (transport authorities, operators, providers of mobility services and consumers protection organizations). This will be achieved by promoting thematic regional and interregional exchange of experience events.

EU ITS Platform

July 2015 - December 2021

ITS for Road has been applied by EU Member States with great success since decades as a necessary mean to alleviate problems caused by an increasing demand for road transport. The EU ITS Platform (EU EIP) is the place where National Ministries, Road Authorities, Road Operators and partners from the private and public sectors of almost all EU Member States and neighboring countries, cooperate in order to foster, accelerate and optimize current and future ITS deployments in Europe in a harmonized way. In order to foster cooperation and the necessary consensus between EU Member States, the EU ITS Platform will facilitate the establishment of a commonly understood state of the art and promoting the actual take-up of EU specifications, guidelines, best practices and/or methodologies.

European ITS Platform +

July 2014 - December 2015

The “EIP+” continues to pursue the “EIP” objective of fostering the consensus building between EU Member States to provide harmonized ITS Services. The “EIP+” is also the interface with the “Corridor” projects. Furthermore, the particularity of the “EIP+” will be the strong interface with the “Corridor” projects that are co-funded under the EC 2013 ITS Call, by monitoring their technical progress on ITS services implementation that will be performed, as well as collecting and elaborating their results. One more important task will be the dissemination of knowledge and experiences both inside and outside the partnership of the “EIP+” in order to make available best practices for the future ITS Service deployments.

South East Europe - Intelligent Transport Systems

October 2012 - Decembrie 2014

SEE-ITS is a transnational project aiming to stimulate cooperation, harmonization and interoperability between isolated Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) in South East Europe. SEE-ITS focuses on setting the framework for ITS deployment in the field of road transport and for interfaces with other modes of transport based on the guidelines of the European Union’s Directive (2010/40/EU) dealing with ITS deployment.
The scope of the project is to enhance the interoperable use of ITS for traffic monitoring and control along road transport networks at transnational, regional and local (urban/peri-urban) levels. The project results will set a long-term sustainable strategic and operational framework for institutional and operational integration of ITS in South East Europe countries.

Harmonised eCall EuropeanPilot

January 2011 - December 2013

HeERO addresses the pan-European in-vehicle emergency call service "eCall" based on 112, the common European Emergency number. During three years (January 2011 to December 2013), the nine European countries forming the HeERO consortium will carry out the start-up of an interoperable and harmonised 112 based in-vehicle emergency call system.
All the partners are sharing the same high-level objective: prepare the local e112 eCall infrastructure necessary for the provision of a sustainable eCall service for the European citizens and share their experiences with the other EU Members and Associated States.
The eCall system will help achieving the EU's objective to decrease the number of severe road injuries and fatalities to 50%. The project is partially funded by the European Commission under the ICT PSP programme.
