Digital Charts for Navigation
G2 is one of the oldest ITS Romania Workgroups with the main goal of maintaining a strong connection between interest factors and actors in the GIS field, a basic element of almost any ITS application. The activity of the group unfolds towards the objective of idea exchange and information exchange and presentation of recent developments of digital charts and converging technologies.

eSafety Forum
The E-Safety Forum brings together public authorities, industry and other stakeholders in a drive to accelerate the development,
deployment and use of eSafety systems in Romania. The main aim is to contribute to the European Commission's 2001 goal of halving the number of fatalities on Europe's roads by 2010.

WG4
Romanian RIS-VTMIS Forum
Taking into account the spectacular advance of the technologies used for river navigation, in 2005 the decision to create the RIS-VTMIS workgroup has been made. Later its designation changed into Romanian RIS-VTMIS Forum, to emphasize the link with other similar European bodies, and its general mission of being a framework for debate, analysis and development of action steps in the RIS field. WG5
ITS for Railway Transport
The ITS for Railway Transport brings together romanian railway transport stakeholders and authorities, in an effort to contribute to increased safety, distribution of last minute accurate traveller information and to the general development of many other ITS applications for the railway field. The workgroup aims at strengthening the communication between involved actors thus creating new opportunities for implementing modern ITS systems across Romania's railway system.
